Articles
The following articles are taken from my complementary
therapy degree programme. The first considers the relationships
I experienced with my general practitioner and during a co-counselling
workshop. They both focus on how positive empowering relationships
can heal the individual.
The second article looks at the placebo effect. What is meant
by, placebo effect, the different beliefs behind why it is said
to work, how effective they are and placebo effects and complementary
therapies.
The third article helps give an insight into, the social construction
of illness. Here illness is explored through different cultures
and their meanings placed on illness.
