Herbal Remedies - Angina
Angina is a pain in the chest caused by insufficient oxygen
and blood being received by the heart muscle. Blood passing into
the heart is served by the coronary arteries, these arteries
if not well maintained through a healthy diet & exercise
sometimes become partially blocked or narrowed, if this occurs
then blood flow will be reduced, thus causing the angina pain
in the patient.
Angina is usually brought on by sudden exertion (when the
heart requires more oxygen) the pain usually resides after a
few minutes of rest, other triggers may include :-
- Eating large meals
- Stress
- Cold temperatures
Another common form of angina is typically called unstable
angina, as the name suggests this pain can arise at any time
for no apparent reason, unstable angina usually indicates that
the coronary arteries leading to the heart have become dangerously
narrowed & likelihood of a heart attack is sufficiently increased.
Anybody suffering from chest pains should always seek medical
advise, there are a number of treatments available to angina
sufferers & also surgeries depending on the severity of the
case in question.
