Herbal Remedies - Arthritis
The word Arthritis means inflammation of, or belonging to,
a joint, the 2 most common forms are Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid
arthritis.
Osteoarthritis is a condition that effects the cartliages
of a joint, cartlilage is the smooth surface surrounding the
ends of bones. An osteoarthritic joint is a condition which is
bought about by joints taking load at incorrect points. A typical
sufferer of Osteoarthritis will experience a tightness of the
muscles, tissue and ligaments around the affected joint making
the bone very hard to move, secondry to this the body will then
start to lay down more bone in that area to replace the damaged
cartlilage, again causing the joint to stiffen up and become
more and more painful.
Rheumatoid arthritis is different in the fact that it is believed
to be caused by a glandular malfunction. The result of this malfunction
causes the soft tissue areas around the sufferers bones to become
inflamed & usually painful to move, as the condition ages
the soft tissue gradually becomes increasingly harder causing
a lack of mobility in the joint and a great deal of pain &
discomfort.
